Why did you decide to study an MSc in Digital Marketing?
My undergraduate degree taught me a lot about the marketing theory and management principles. After further research I decided that the MSC digital marketing would allow me to test my knowledge and skills on live clients and allow me to gain real life industry experience through the 4-week placement. The digital marketing is industry is also a growing and forever changing industry that makes future career opportunities exciting.
What do you like best about the course so far?
The opportunity to work with live client’s in varying industries. My favourite part of semester 1 was the 2-day client sprint, which gave me experience of what it would be like to work in a marketing agency. I also enjoyed working through a digital marketing audit for a local hotel which allowed me to look at the various areas of digital marketing and see which areas I have interest in.
What’s your favourite app or website, and why?
Spotify – This app is brilliant for accessing both music and podcasts, it allows me to customize my own playlists for the gym, long distance travelling, studying or hanging out with friends. The podcasts are particular enjoyable for listening to interesting football debates and discussion. I also like the way the app collates your listening information monthly and yearly so I can remember music I have enjoyed.
