Where are you from?
London, UK
What was your undergraduate degree?
I undertook my undergraduate degree in Business at University of Greenwich. The course covered a broad range of topics including Project Management, Information Systems and Consultancy. I gained an insight into a variety of business frameworks and theoretical concepts that can be applied to case studies.
Why did you decide to study an MSc in Digital Marketing?
I decided to study an MSc in Digital Marketing as it provides a greater depth into elements of marketing within businesses. Digital skills, strategies and tools are extremely valuable in today’s era where many businesses utilise social media and analytical measures to promote their products/services as well as analysing consumer interaction.
What do you like best about the course so far?
What I like most about the Digital Marketing course is that it involves working alongside real-life clients particularly, small businesses to analyse their marketing strategies and provide them with personalised recommendations. It is a hands-on course which strengthens practical expertise that will be applicable to organisations that are heading towards a digital future. The lecturers are also well-informed in the subject area and highly engaging.
What’s your favourite app or website, and why?
My favourite app is Instagram as it enables people across the world to share their photos, highlight key moments within their daily lives and engage with one another through stories and direct messages. The explore page is uniquely catered towards each user displaying customised content that may potentially interest them. Over the course of the pandemic, I have enjoyed using TikTok the most. This is due to the personalised ‘For You’ Page illustrating the latest trends, creative and educational videos. I have also been able to discover small businesses through the platform bringing about inspiration and innovation.
